Bio
The 2025 season will mark Junior Galvan's fifth as an assistant coach with the Butler soccer program. The Grizzlies have reached two NJCAA National Tournaments (21, 22) and won three KJCCC Conference Championships (21, 22, 24) with Galvan on staff. Galvan has led the way for the Grizzlies to take a more aggressive approach to recruiting, both domestically and internationally.
"Junior Galvan has proven to be a tireless recruiter and an up-and-coming young college coach. He has a passion for learning and shares this program's love for this beautiful game," explained Head Coach Adam Hunter.
In addition to Butler, Galvan serves as a club coach for Sporting Wichita.
Prior to taking on a coaching role at Butler, Galvan served as an assistant at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., and head high school coach for Towanda-Circle, achieving three quarterfinal berths in the state tournament, winning back-to-back regional championships, and going undefeated in the league division (17-0) as an assistant in 2021. The team broke multiple records for most goals scored and the fewest goals conceded in a season.
Galvan played collegiately at all levels of the college game. Two years at Allen Community College, before receiving a scholarship to Newman University where he gained NCAA experience, finally ending his playing career in the NAIA at Friends University.
Galvan has completed the USSF National “B” License.
He holds an associate degree from Allen Community College and a bachelor’s degree in general studies with a concentration in business administration from Friends University.
