Butler Softball Clinches No. 2 Seed in Region 6 Tournament
PRATT, Kan. – The Butler Grizzlies close out the regular season with a doubleheader sweep over the Pratt Beavers, clinch the No. 2 seed in the Region 6 Tournament.

PRATT, Kan. – The Butler Grizzlies close out the regular season with a doubleheader sweep over the Pratt Beavers, clinch the No. 2 seed in the Region 6 Tournament.
The Grizzlies (32-14, 26-6 KJCCC) swept the Pratt Beavers (8-42, 5-27) to help clinch the No. 2 seed in the Region 6 Tournament. The Grizzlies will ride into the first round of the Region 6 Tournament on a 14-game winning streak.
Game 1 (7 inn.) – Butler 3, Pratt 0
The Grizzlies put up two runs in the opening inning after Addison Chapman's RBI single, and later Kate Free's sacrifice fly.
Butler was quiet until the top half of the 6th when Karson Holson single on a line drive to left field, scoring Cassidy Miller.
Chapman picked up her 13th win in the circle for the Grizzlies. Chapman has put up impressive numbers game after game, and Saturday was no different. Chapman threw seven innings and allowed just two hits, two walks, and had 12 strikeouts.
Game 2 (7 inn.) – Butler 10, Pratt 2
After three scoreless innings, the Grizzlies put up 10 runs in the final four innings to Pratt's two. The Grizzlies had 12 hits in 33 at bats. Kate Free led the Grizzlies with three hits, two runs, and one RBI. Karson Holson went 2-4, one run, one home run, and three RBI. DeShawnna Bryant added a two-run homer, and Chapman drove in two runs.
Anistyn Marcotte (W, 10-4) earned the win in the circle for the Grizzlies. Marcotte threw six innings and allowed just three hits, one earned run, walked two batters and struck out four.
