Grizzlies Win Sixth in a Row, Sweep Fort Hays Tech Northwest

Game 1 (5 inn.) – Butler 17, Fort Hays Tech NW 2
The Grizzlies (13-11, 10-4 KJCCC) got the bats going from the opening inning and scored at least one run in all five innings. Fort Hays Tech (1-29, 0-14) managed only two runs in the contest, with one run in each the 2nd and 4th innings.
Emilee Stofferahn (W, 2-1) pitched all five innings and allowed just three hits and one earned run. Stofferahn struck out seven batters in the win.
Game 2 (5 inn.) – Butler 16, Fort Hays Tech NW 1
Fort Hays Tech scored the opening run of the game on the bottom of the first after an RBI groundout. From that point on, it was all Grizzlies. Butler went on to score 16 runs in the final four innings, including a five spot in the second and an eight spot in the third.
Ellie Randall (W, 2-5) earned her second win on the season for the Grizzlies. Randall threw all five innings and allowed two hits and one earned run. Randall also struck out six Fort Hays Tech batters.
