Montgomery named KJCCC 'Pitcher of the Week' for the fourth time this season

The Grizzlies landed another player on the KJCCC Player of the Week list this time with freshman Allyson Montgomery picking up Jayhawk Pitcher of the Week. This in Montgomery's fourth time to earn this honor this season.

Allyson Montgomery, freshman pitcher from Goddard, KS, improved to 16-0 on the season with a dominant win on the road at Barton last Wednesday. Montgomery went 4.0 innings allowing no runs off just one hit. She walked three batters and struck out seven. She exceeded the 100 strikeout milestone on Wednesday now at 106 K's on the season while holding a 1.37 ERA on the year.

The Grizzlies have now had a player earn Player/Pitcher of the Week the last eight consecutive weeks and had a total of 12 honorees named throughout this season.
