Grizzlies Take Down Ranger College in Season Opener
EDMOND, Okla. – The Butler Grizzlies defeated Ranger College 121-81 on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma on Monday evening.

EDMOND, Okla. – The Butler Grizzlies defeated Ranger College 121-81 on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma on Monday evening.
The Grizzlies 121 points scored are the most they have scored against an NJCAA school since 2018, when they defeated the Pratt Beavers 128-107.
Ranger jumped out to a 21-13 lead, but the Grizzlies stormed back by getting points off turnovers, and Butler went into the break with a 61-37 lead.
The Grizzlies scored 60 points in the second half, and won the game 121-81 for their first win on the young season.
Butler made a whopping 25 three pointers on the night, shooting at a high volume of 47.2% from down town. The Grizzlies shot 48.9% from the field, were eight of nine from the charity stripe, and forced 27 Ranger turnovers. The Grizzlies had six players finish in double-figures.
Sophomore returner Devin Kerr led the Grizzlies in scoring with 17 on the night in only 18 minutes. Guard Josiah Kirkwood finished with a near double-double, having nine points and eight assists.
