Baseball With 4 All-Jayhawk Conference Honorees
Four Grizzlies Earn Conference Recognition
The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference released its 2025 All-KJCCC West Division Baseball teams on Wednesday, with Butler having four honorees.
Butler had two second team selections as well as two honorable mention picks on the league's All-Conference teams which are voted on by the head coaches in the KJCCC.

SECOND TEAM SELECTIONS
Redshirt freshman Cooper Rasmussen had a monster season at the plate, being named to the KJCCC second team.
The Temecula, Calif., native, hit .394 and slugged .743 with 9 home runs and 9 doubles in 32 conference games, striking out just 4 times in 109 at bats. Overall, Rasmussen led Butler in batting average (.372), slugging (.733), on-base percentage (.480), hits (67), RBI (53), and home runs (16). He walked 25 times to just 13 strikeouts as he started in 52 of Butler's 53 games. Rasmussen totaled 20 multi-hit games and his 16 home runs ranked third best in the KJCCC West. Rasmussen is signed with Florida International University to continue his baseball and academic career.
Freshman infielder Jackson Ellison was named a second team selection in his first year at Butler.
The Wichita native hit .385 with 45 hits, 37 RBI, 15 walks to 11 strikeouts and seven home runs in 32 league games. The Wichita native played shortstop, second base, catcher, third base and right field, fielding at a .993 clip in KJCCC games.
Overall, Ellison played in all 53 of Butler's games making 51 starts. He hit .322 with 59 hits which ranked second for Butler. Ellison's 50 RBI also ranked second on the team, walking 27 times to 13 strikeouts with eight homers and 10 doubles.
HONORABLE MENTION SELECTIONS
Freshman outfielder Jaden Rose was an honorable mention selection.
The Overland Park native led Butler with 10 doubles in conference action as he hit .370 with 40 hits and 25 RBI in 31 games. He also homered five times in conference play, with eight long balls overall.
Rose finished the 2025 season hitting .325 making 49 starts. He had 55 hits, 48 runs scored, a team-high tying 15 doubles and drove in 42 runs. Rose also stole 11 bases and fielded at a .972 clip.
Freshman pitcher Shane Holman was the lone pitcher to earn conference recognition.
The Wichita native was tied for the league lead with five wins in conference play as he finished 5-2 with a 6.25 ERA in eight KJCCC starts. He struck out 41 compared to just 5 walks in 44.2 innings.
Overall, Holman held a 7-3 record with a 5.83 ERA in 58.2 innings making 10 starts. Holman struck out 52 and walked just five.
